Bio
Sophia St. Helen is a singer-songwriter from the San Francisco Bay Area, Ca. Her smooth vocals paired with her 60s/70s inspired songwriting and productions blend her classic influences (Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young) with modern ones (Father John Misty, Adrianne Lenker). As a result, her music aligns with modern indie artists like Julia Jacklin, boygenius, and Marika Hackman.
St. Helen is somewhat of a nomad, splitting time between Europe and the U.S., as well as exploring other parts of the world both as a touring musician and as a traveler. Inspired by transience and change, Sophia writes thoughtful, introspective and often existential lyrics that give a level of depth to her guitar-driven compositions.
In addition to songwriting and vocal performance, Sophia is an accomplished guitarist who has performed at music festivals around the world, including Primavera in Barcelona, Spain, South by Southwest in Austin, Texas as well as Rockwave in Athens, Greece.
St. Helen released her debut album “None the Wiser” in 2020, and released two singles in 2024 “To Where and Where From” and “Time Has Changed Me." Her latest single, “Radio Silence” was released May 23, 2025.
"Exploring such themes as self-reflection and -discovery offers ample room for St. Helen to lend her sweet, welcoming croon to any number of shifts in musical ambiance."
